My experience (based on the European itins I fly all the time) suggests that there isn't a problem with such an open jaw as pricing works on a country-by-country basis. So it's perfectly possible to go to Paris then return from MLH for a very reasonable price but you'll have to pay full-fare if you're returning from BSL (Swiss side of the same airport)!
