15k Avios to retain Plat is a no brainer. You might spend 600€-ish on a flight ticket as an alternative to get 5k TP. Would you pay 600€ for 15k Avios? I didn't think so. With the current promo that goes down to 350€ or so. + taxi and other ancillaries + time. Still a no brainer, IMO.
