2 You have to prepay. Book your stay at time of payment. That way you will be sure of getting what you want you want when you want.
3. Insist on staying in the timeshare, not a nearby hotel (Hampton, etc). Tell them you would not consider purchasing if you can't get the full 'timeshare experience'.
4 Don't even consider purchasing a timeshare directly from Hilton. Resale pricing is far, far better. Don't believe anything their sales critters say regarding this. Remember, their sales staff is highly commissioned and if their lips are moving, they are lying.
5. Here's a link to their current promotions. Even if the site only shows a few locations, call and ask about others.
Thanks everyone for your responses. I'm quoting this one only because BillMorrow all of Bill Morrow's points are things I think about. Following are my responses:
1. I'm not really inclined to wheel and deal, but I guess I shouldn't get overly excited about 50k points
2. I didn't know about this. I will definitely have some dates in mind. Do they give you a chance to back out if they can't find availability that works for you before finalizing the purchase?
3. I really want to stay at the Hilton Buena Vista Palace (which, seems to be covered within the T&C). My concern is that the timeshare presentation will be 25 minutes away
4. I have zero interest in purchasing a timeshare
5. Thanks. I'll take a look.

Do any of you guys know if skipping the 3rd night is taboo? The terms I read (perhaps an abbreviated version) don't address this point.
