I rarely got the benefits of this to begin with, but lucked into getting an instant upgrade when I somehow got booked into ORD-LGA on a B fare last month. Nice while it lasted, but not really something I got the benefit of, as almost none of my business travel is booked so last-minute that it goes into the high-fare buckets, and I never booked into those fares for leisure travel.
