I think it makes sense though. Under the old model you get CoS bonus to reward big spenders, but now, if high spending is your thing, then you choose the spending path, not the distance path. Likewise, under the old model you get minimum 500 EQMs per segment to reward short distance fliers. Now if short distance is your thing then you choose the segment path, not the distance path.
Basically all this complaining here is about wanting to have your cake and eat it too, and AS may not wanna accommodate that any longer.
Not saying it's right or wrong on their part to do that, nor is it wrong on any customer's part to want the most points possible, all I'm saying is I can see the logic in AS giving you 3 paths to choose from and once you make that choice you can't have the benefits of the other 2 paths at the same time. Gotta make a decision one way or another.
