Success story on my end....

UA 769 this Saturday from ORD-BCN. Booked economy early July. At the time there was something like 12 or 14 open Polaris seats. Paid $640 for the ticket - Then put $550 + 20k miles for an upgrade request. Got immediately cleared to PremiumPlus and just got bumped to Polaris this morning when there was 10 open Polaris seats still.
