How many LGW-JFK’s have been cancelled recently? It’s normally the first choice to go if they are short of aircraft, I expect cancellations will be more widely spread in future.

LGW-JFK has been very resilient this summer,
Without expansion of the long haul fleet in the near future making Bangkok year round and increasing services to Jamaica and there had to be some juggling of services to and from Gatwick.
I believe that if extra long haul aircraft had been available I think LGW-JFK would have remained.
Pre-Covid LGE had 15 based 777s now currently 12. Continuing issues with the 787 at LHR as well as 777-9 delays continue to put pressure on the 777 fleet at both LGW and LHR.
