PC your Red to a no-AF version, then apply for the Red. I don't know that it's even necessary to PC the first one - Barclays reapplication timeline rules are notoriously vague and flexible - but I would at least PC the card first (don't close it) then apply for the Red again. i was thinking about this; the system might recognise you dont have a red aviator account faster if you pc rather than closing your account. but that is still an if, i cant find any dp on it. and the risk that friedablass mentioned still exists. the blue card doesnt comes with most of the benefits, whcih i assume is why s/he wants to hold the red avaiator. so what if s/he is unable to pc the blue back to the red should the application fail. afterall, pc options arent always available or that barclays may cut that off earlier than 9/30

this is 1 dp for 6 weeks, but i have seen others that cant after even longer periods. post 243 is one
