US carriers seem to be quietly adding thermal runaway containment kits to their aircraft. I flew on Sunday and saw a overhead bin with safety equipement with a new marking that said something along the lines of "Electronics Thermal Runaway Containment Bags and Gloves"
The US carriers have had these kits for a few years now. Perhaps they're making it more obvious now.
