Expanding on the issue of Finnair not having implemented jettime well into their systems:
For an upcoming "Jettime A/s for Finnair" flight, I got an e-mail push to upgrade. I was kind of surprised the e-mail wasn't outright offering an upgrade, only the call to search for an upgrade myself. (Maybe that is how it is done these days? In the past they did send messages with an upgrade offer, ie with availability and pricing and a deadline to respond to the offer). Following the link took me to the ordinary upgrade search where the result was a message saying it is not possible to upgrade online:
Digging deeper, the flight has at least 9 seats in U, judging from the award booking flow on finnair.com. It also seems like you can book a business award online (it shows up normally but as I have zero adios I can't go to the next step in the booking flow). So the wording in the message is ambigous, it seems upgrade is available, but it is just not implemented online.
I'm not going to go deeper than this - as a lowly silver I guess I need to call somewhere to enquire - I just find it a bit sad things working this poorly. Why solicit for upgrades that can't be processed?
