My husband and I are travelling to Australia from LHR early next year and are entitled to the chauffeur drive.
However, we live 140 miles from LHR so the additional cost means organising our own private airport transfer will be cheaper - or so I thought!
I’ve just seen something on Emirates website that states you can have 50% extra miles for free if you are travelling with a passenger. If this means we can then have 105 miles rather than the standard 70 then it would be more cost effective for us to pay for the additional 35 miles.

Yes, this is new, I also spotted it about a week ago.
Haven’t heard about anyone using it. I would suggest trying to book it and see what happens (I mean what the response of the system is when you book). Please feed back here, it would be useful to many others.
For myself it would open up the possibility to use LHR instead of only LGW. I live literally 69.4 driven miles from LGW.
