For an infrequent flyer, is there an advantage to accepting Gold status for one flight? I have a domestic, non-transcontinental flight on American in a few weeks, but no expectation of flying American again in the following year, let alone the following four months. For this upcoming flight, I have early boarding by other means. Is there some benefit to being Gold for one flight in my situation? Thanks.
