BA booking and charging me for hotel room even though I travel home that night ?

Hi,

just wondering if anyone knows if it’s British Airways standard policy to book and charge you for your hotel room on your last night even though you are actually flying home that night ? For context we go to Dubai next month and I’ve only just realised that it’s actually only 4 nights 5 days when my booking says I’m staying for 5 nights. Obviously stupidly didn’t realise matching up the dates, times and time difference properly as our flight home is after midnight. Our flight is at 01.30am so I’d be leaving for the airport at 10.30pm or thereabouts even though I’m meant to check out at 12pm the next day. Usually package holidays I’ve went on with other airlines you are accepting you’ll be without a hotel room when you check out at 11am/12pm and your flight isn’t until the late evening. I feel like it’s a bit misleading. I understand we will be without a room for 10 hours during the day but Im paying for a hotel I’m not sleeping in that night. Thanks!
