Crowne Plaza Danang City Centre
This is a relatively new addition to the IHG portfolio in Danang. It is a rebranding/refurbishment from
the previous Bay Capital Danang Hotel. The refurbishment has been done to a high quality with beautiful rooms, a stylish lounge, restuarant, a pool and a well equipped and spacious gym. The rooms are compact but are very chic and feature bathrooms with a full-sized bath plus walk-in shower, a fully stocked minibar, Nespresso machine, TV with multiple satellite channels and other features you would expect. Staff were exceptional (better than the Regent Phu Quoc, which I had just come from).
The lounge is a great space with a combination of couches and tables, which are well spaced out. Afternoon tea was well presented and delicious. The drink offerings durng the cocktail hour were relatively limited, though did include some cocktails. Food consisted of a canape platter which offered 5/6 items of both Asian and Western origin. Everything was delicious. There were no additional buffet items. I didn't try breakfast as they have a strange policy of not offering breakfast if you are using a Lounge Pass, even though breakfast is available in the lounge.
The hotel is well loctaed in the centre of Danang being within walking distance of the new Danang Museum (recommended), the market, the cathedral, the Han River promenade and the Dragon Bridge.
All in all, highly recommended.
