The objective comments above are appreciated. Regarding the subjective comments, anyone else think it’s a little premature to pass judgement on an 800 room hotel just a month after it re-opened following a major gutting renovation and re-branding? Personally I’m holding off for at least a few more months, probably a year or more.
FWIW, I had 2 or 3 horrible stays at The Concourse Hotel at Los Angeles Airport, a Hyatt Affiliate in 2014 and 2016 when it was in the middle of being renovated/rebranded from Radisson to Hyatt Regency LAX. It should have been closed at the time, instead they closed some floors as they worked on them and booked guests on other floors which were in various states of renovation (and most definitely not ready for prime time).
Now, it’s one of my favorite hotels.

I was also told that the integration with the Hyatt resie system was not going smoothly. The room was not horrid-but not great. … HUGE problems with the elevators. … I think I will wait until the transformation is complete for my next stay.

It went from dumpy to design IMO and I love all the touches of color an a soft grey palette. I like the new bathrooms (no constant fan noise in my room as reported above)as well as the large table in lieu of a desk. Two chairs instead of one desk chair will be a real plus for couples traveling together. I also love the easy plug and play feature on the new entertainment center.
Breakfast in the dining room was great ( Mexican Benedict off the new menu) the buffet has returned but it is rather limited. service in the bar and in the restaurant was great. While it will be nice when the Regency club opens (They are talking about late summer for the opening)I will miss having breakfast in the restaurant. Check in could not have been friendlier. I am guessing this is just a temporary set up while work on the lobby continues.

Yes, my seats were yellow but it didn't matter to me. I have some photos if anyone is curious, but the room was nice for its size.
