My 10 yo daughter and I are flying into CUN at 8 PM on a Thursday in October and out at 11 AM on the following Monday. We are thinking an organized tour of ruins plus cenote, spending most of the time in Isla Mujeres, and taking a dive trip there. Does this sound like a plan? I have two itineraries in mind (1) stay in airport hotel on arrival, take tour Friday, go to Isla Mujeres in the evening and stay until Monday morning with early departure to airport. (2) Go directly to Isla Mujeres Thursday evening, return Saturday evening to mainland hotel, and tour Sunday. This means only 2 nights on Isla Mujeres, but being closer to the airport Monday morning. I like (1) better, but is it reasonable to catch a boat at 7 AM Monday morning and make it to CUN? The ferry schedule and driving times seem to suggest it is ok. Any other suggestions are welcome.
