This is the BA287 LHR-SFO menu on Aug 16, 2025

It wasn't until the tail end of the flight when I noticed that I did not get the Amuse Bouche. I guess we need to explicitly request it? I received the Amuse Bouche on the SFO-LHR flight on Aug 4, 2025, even without asking for it.

Very happy with my choices for the first meal on this flight; I'll add some photos after I've sorted through them.

- Starter British wagyu sirloin beef carpaccio : This was delicious and I could easily inhale another 5 plates of this stuff.
- Main Course Honey and lavender glazed Welsh lamb rack and braised lamb shoulder : OMG this was heavenly! Very filling, too! The lamb rack was delicious; it could have been slightly more "pink", but it was still fine and it was not overdone. The rosemary jus was perfect with it. This is really "lamb served 2 ways". The other part kinda look like wet cat food when you have inverted the tin onto the plate. haha This was so delicious and full of flavor! I'd rate this 10/10, would get it again.
- Sides Mixed Mediterranean vegetables : This was ho hum. I preferred the Roasted marble potatoes, heirloom carrots, sauteed Brussels sprouts from the SFO-LHR BA284 flight from Aug 4, 2025.
- Dessert Warm chocolate tart : I was full from having the lamb, but was not going to pass up dessert. The chocolate tart was rich and chocolaty. The frozen mango, actually a sorbet, was delicious. I was thinking about the Eton Mess, however decided to skip it since I tried it at the SFO First Dining Lounge (Posted First Dining at SFO Lounge & Eton Mess photo here : https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/37247748-post254.html). My daughter tried the Eton Mess on this flight and told me she preferred the version served at the SFO Lounge.
- Light Meal Starter Tiger prawns salad : This was 2 large plump prawns and hardly any "greens" for the salad part. The prawns were as expected.
- Light Meal Main Course Wild mushroom lattice pie : I chose this thinking it would be a lighter choice than the Scottish sirloin steak sandwich. It was like a pot pie with a lot of crust that ended up being just as filling as bread on a sandwich. I could skip this dish. It was unremarkable.
- Dessert Creme caramel : It was OK. I was expecting it to have more of an egg custard texture, like flan.
- Champagne Lanson Noble Brut : This was yummy. I think I had 4 glasses of this stuff since the crew were on "generous pour" mode. haha They kept topping off pretty full near the top.
