Just some photos from a recent one-night stay. Booked the basic room with points and was updated to the family room.

Some basic comments:

• The pools are both uninteresting for actual swimming. They are good for wading.
• The pricing in bars and restaurants reveals that they have a captive audience on the island. I stayed clear of all the F&B outlets and enjoyed cheaper options in Venice
• I found the shuttle to not be that inconvenient. It is not air conditioned so it can be quite warm inside.
• The island is a lot bigger than I was expecting and is worth walking around.
• The island’s more official name is Saccca Sessola but was renamed by Marriott. For those interested: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacca_Sessola
