thanks - though I don’t think that answers my question - the £5000 is flights and hotel split across a YE.

Your suggestion is they pro rate the flight and hotel pre year end and post year end into the relevant years - but wait til you are back to make sure you completed the trip? I just don’t see that as being supported by the t&c wording.
