My assumption is that the airline would be responsible for reseating other passengers as needed. Since the first flight leaves YYZ it should be covered by the regulation.
That’s good to know thanks. In other good news, I was able to secure 2 seats in the same row and one in the row in front. So at least the worries of how this will pan out at the gate are gone.
I see a lot of chaos happening in the AC thread on Reddit so glad we somewhat dodged a bullet this time.
Hopefully this will be resolved before our return trip in two weeks.
