You don't always get an upgrade when a lot of people are vying for the same seat, even as a Platinum Medallion.

OP is booked on an LY fare from TLV to SFO (BOS-SFO couldn't be booked as a LY codeshare as a standalone flight) and you can't just randomly switch the marketing coding on flights to one of your preference. It depends on what the Flight Application section of the LY fare allows (the long-haul segment from TLV must be a LY coded flight) and class availability.
