Totally fair, I figured it was a situation where they offer them very close in to travel dates. Thank you! I just didn't know if they completely excluded 3rd party tickets or were heavily weighted against them, which seems to be the case. FWIW, I found it nearly impossible to book an open jaw ticket on ba.com, IAD-BDS + NAP/IAD didn't seem possible whereas Amex put it together simply and I could use membership rewards points as needed too...again thanks!
