I do agree that $300 x 2 and needing to book 1 night vs 2 nights each time is definitely superior if this new $600 total annual credit for FHR is true. If they're going to refresh this credit and increase it from $200 annually to $300 x 2 annually it isn't going to be only for this year until end of 2025 - and if someone already used their $200 it may be very likely that Amex will allow the new $300 credit to be used in addition to that. I assume that it will be the benefit value going forward so in 2026 you'll be able to use the full $600 ($300 per 6 months).
I was just going to say the same. Do not see anything regarding this potential $300 x 2 FHR credit.
i reopened the website. it seems they removed the $600 credit. i agree that it is not for this year only, but you odnt know the magnitude of the increase in af or if they will change it to be at least 2 nights, etc. im not sure that they will allow the $300 credit to be used in addition to that. but that is moot, since they removed the wordings for the new credits already. so it seems like it is part of the refresh and for me, it's still uncertain if it is better, least of all far superior
