However, someone with lots of followers like Matt have to realize that every incorrect piece of information he shares is amplified and we can eventually see it on flyertalk.
One real life example is a certain travel blog that I won't specify.. He published a piece on JAL mileage program and credit card that was wrong.. Yes, it's a complex program but one of his false assumptions led to a rush of people posting in JL forum with this false idea in mind.
We can't control misinformation in this world, intentional or accidental, but people should take steps to prevent it if they can. In my opinion, that includes someone like Matt.
I agree. I mean one could also think that any picture in social media is true as shown. There could be always missinformation. Maybe he should add some desclaimer in the video. An example. He has a lot of BA videos how to get BA Gold with some TP runs. They are not valid any more but were valid as the video was posted.
