Seoul to SAN museum in Wonju
Would like to visit SAN museum in Wonju from Seoul mid September. Traveling solo.

Some questions.


  1. Train departure from Seoul seems more central than bus. Is there a reason to prefer taking the bus to Wonju?
  2. I have booked the Oak Valley resort for 2 nights. Seems close to museum and a fairly nice accommodation. Would anyone suggest staying downtown Wonju rather than Oak Valley? Why? Which hotel do you recommend.
  3. There is a circle bus from train station to oak valley and museum but it only runs approx every 2 hours and not on Mondays. I am considering returning to Seoul on Monday and would need to get to train station. How much would a taxi cost from Oak valley to train station? Is there a local bus or any other transport from Oak valley to SAN or to train station?
  4. Heard rumors of a shuttle but Oak valley English website has No information on reported shuttle to SAN. Does it currently run? website?
Anything else I should know about going to Wonju or SAN museum?
