You're trying to invoke that tricky logic that suggests that people should be paid based on the relative value of the work they do. Is the value of the work done to stock the shelves at the LCBO worth $30/hr? Well of course it isn't, but that's what a lot of those workers get paid because that's what the Union was able to negotiate out of the Government. Funny how those being paid above the value of the work they perform don't seem to see it that way though. That's why whenever I hear 'our CEO makes in an hour what a FA makes in a month' (I got that one from an FA last week) I just say 'right you are' and move on because there is no winning that argument with that person.
