Like you I personally find Chase UR the most useful - in my case for transfers to UA and Hyatt - and I always need more UR. But the high SUBs from other issuers generate miles and points that I can easily use on other airlines and hotels, even if the cpp is lower and even with deval. I have a nice stash with Amex, Citi, and Cap1 that I have been unable to use due to personal schedule limitations but I expect that will change soon.
Chase approvals periodically swing from easy to hard to easy - seems to be middling now. By contrast Amex seems super easy right now with high SUBs - so grab what's hot now and just be mindful of 5/24.
I live in China so rarely fly US airlines so the benefits of the cards are not useful for me like doordash, Lyft etc which is why I will cancel CSR when it renews because it's clearly a US centric card now for those living in big cities. However, Via Hyatt milestone, I'm now AA platinum so have been thinking about signing up for various Citi cards to get AA miles.
But I don't really want to use points for business class as I don't value that experience - I'd rather get chase or Hyatt points to transfer to Hyatt which I value highly. I'm fine with flying exit row economy and using Ritz card $300 a yr benefit to pay for those exit rows or get for free now with AA.
I've already subscribed and unsubscribed to all the Marriott Amex cards as I'm lifetime LTP. I've thought about Aspire and Surpass for Hilton but nothing at Hilton really excites me. If I could get to a Hilton resort, I might get.
If chase allows, I might get the CSR business in a few months to get the bonus points as again i value UR points to transfer to Hyatt.
So I'm balancing between wanting promos and dealing with tracking headaches for coupon credits which I can't really use and when I need to cancel as I don't want to pay high annual fee on Citi strata/ aa cards when I won't really get the benefit.
I wish I could earn more chase points but I now have every chase ur earning card except CSR business. I can easily hit the spend for the sub but I don't like the card's benefits.
I did just register another company in the US and will open a chase business bank account for that company so might be able to start the whole ink subscription again for that business
