Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
This hotel has only suites or villas so I booked an entry level suite room which doesn't include a private pool. A few days later I was upgraded to the 1 king suite outdoor Private Pool which does have a private pool. A week before my stay I was upgraded several levels to the 1 King 1 bedroom Villa Beachfront Outdoor Private Pool

How are the rooms?

I was told that there were only four villas of this type so keep in mind that one might not get upgraded to this room. I had a weekday stay so I wonder if this helped as by Friday morning the place was quite busy!
Bed was comfortable, plenty of space for luggage, his/her bathroom, private bath, with a non so private 20sqm pool. Room 250 is the least private as it's close to the main pool and walkway to the beach. Rooms 251 and 252 will also walk by 250 to get to the main restaurant and pool. No naked skinny dipping for me but was a nice pool to lounge around. A/C was strong, plenty of TV channels and blue tooth capability.

Flamingo Restaurant prices were very fair and dishes were good

Villa room was quiet, spacious, and very comfortable
Staff spoke very good English especially for being a non international tourist location

They should remove 'private' pool from their room description. I could see from the photos that it was not prior to coming but this might clear up some confusion
I don't understand why hotels give one drink ticket if it's a two person booking. You're not losing that much money by giving each person a drink
Breakfast is ok and can get a bit repetitive after two days

Lobby has one electric fan so if you need to wait 20 minutes to check in then you'll be a soaking mess.
Description on the app makes it seem like the indoor pool is free to use but I was informed that it was for only those using the spa. We were given a one time free use being a villa guest.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?Obviously the upgrade made it very good value for points. Some things I want to add that aren't necessarily the hotels fault but you should rent a bike or car due the location. There are maybe 3 or so restaurants within walking distance of the hotel otherwise its a 5-7 min bike ride an area nearest for restaurants. You could pay 50-100k dong each way which isn't much but it'll get annoying after a while. Fitness room is still under construction and there is only one restaurant available. I would only return if I were to visit Phong Nka again but outside of that I would not.
