With the loss of this hotel, the Caption portfolio shrinks to nine properties, and Hyatt hasn't announced anything for this brand in years... so I wonder how viable this whole operation even is.

Interesting, I stayed there in March where the two of them felt like one hotel only already. Shared check-in desk, shared breakfast restaurant etc. I was supposed to switch from a suite at Caption to a suite at the Centric at one point in my stay. But I decided not to move. Reason: The Caption suites had terraces, the Centric ones didn't.
