Of course, the mainland only has mainland companies to blame for this.
That being said, I just flew PVG-KIX yesterday with a CCC-less Anker power bank and didn't have any issues. No comment from security, the officer just checked the mAh rating to make sure it was under the limit and I was on my way. I guess I'll keep rolling the dice on that for now.
