Had a recent award stay here. As Hyatt's 'flagship' and only property in the Canadian Maritimes, I would definitely recommend it. Service was excellent throughout. Don't think they see many Globalists. The woman who checked me in said it was only the third time she had seen a Hyatt credit card.
I would generally agree with platbrownguy's review with a couple of exceptions. I was there for 3 nights and only had to validate my parking ticket once. Apparently, they have changed their systems around to permit this. I thought the breakfast was above average for a Hyatt Place. Two types of eggs, sausage and bacon, nice selection of pastries, fruit and other breakfast items. There was always at least two people working the breakfast room. Food was continuously replenished. One person walking around with coffee asking if anyone needed a refill.
One thing that struck me about this hotel is how much time and how many people were dedicated to cleaning. It seemed like someone was always cleaning something the public areas whenever I walked by. The hotel is definitely not understaffed and it shows up in the hotel's maintenance and cleanliness. A big difference from some HP's that I have stayed at.
