Virgin has a great product and would do very well if they had a better network. Apart from the U.S. and the Caribbean, Virgin's network is just not good enough. Sure you can fly with them once or twice but you quickly end back with BA/AFKLM/QR (if you live in the UK). I used to fly Virgin a lot and was Gold with them for a while but enticed away by BAEC and the fact that the route network was thin and has since got even thinner. Obviously the tie-in with Skyteam has helped and now BAEC is dead I will certainly be considering flying Virgin again, although these days I also try and avoid LHR as much as possible.
