yes, i am not exactly convinced the rules do provide access at LHR based on the XXX-MAD flight. the oneworld rules talk of access when "...travelling between an international long haul .....and an international short haul or domestic flight".

additionally looking at a ba lounge eligibility guide it says "Customers arriving in long haul business and first class cabins connecting to a flight in Economy class also enjoy lounge access even though their onward sector does not give them access."

by all means ask at LHR and show your same day XXX-MAD bp, but i think the answer may be no.
