I’ve found this works much better because you are getting fed at the right time for your body clock and then left alone to sleep for the remainder of the flight when you naturally want to sleep (assuming your body clock is on Seoul time).
I’ve also flown KLM on various long flights from the Far East to Amsterdam and found that they serve a hot meal after take-off and just before landing, but they also serve a mid-flight snack with hot options. Whilst I prefer Asiana’s service schematic I find the hot snack KLM serve mid-flight better than nothing.
From what I remember of BA flying from HND to LHR, there was a meal after take-off and another before landing with nothing in-between.
yes that is correct for BA, sadly. Trust me the Crew are not very happy about it either as people are very hungry by the time it gets to the second meal. Whilst I always take snacks, it shouldn’t have to be expected. But as also explained, galley space has shrunk on BA planes in order to get more seats in and therefore there’s simply no space anymore to load a midflight snack/ meal for everyone and even space for small snacks is very very limited due to catering equipment required. What sometimes doesn’t help with Club Kitchen is that some passengers think it all for them and fill bags and pockets when the Club Kitchen stuff comes out or come back every few minutes , selfish is one way of putting it I guess.
