In fairness, the poster did not indicate whether s/he was travelling in F. My (albeit limited) experience of flying HND-LHR in F on BA is that it is perfectly pleasant. I had enough food, and could have asked for more. I ate, dozed, read and watched a film. I think it might have been more challenging in Club with regimented meal times and limited offerings between them.
