How do you feel about the impacts on the MM program with the changes to the 2026 Aeroplan Status program?
I'm MM and feel like the rug was pulled out from under me. Specifically, the ability to have 40 eUps at the start of each year was one of the reasons I stayed loyal with AC. I booked fares for work travel that were often more expensive than the competition, and spent money out of my own pocket to make sure I made SE each year, with the impression that AC would take care of me in retirement once I hit MM. I plan to retire in Brazil, so those eUps would have been nice for when I come back to visit Canada. With these changes, I doubt I'll be loyal to AC for those trips. I'll just try to find the best J deal on any carrier, and given how expensive AC is lately, it likely won't be them.

Now, I basically have the same benefits as a premium credit cardholder, plus a dismal amount of eUps that won't help me very much. Prior to COVID, I was pushing to 2MM so that I could give 50K to my partner. Travel has declined significantly for me since COVID, and in retrospect I'm glad it did. I'm questioning whether all that time and money reaching MM was actually worth it. Definitely glad my push to 2MM is over.
