Overall, lots of issues and a huge downgrade from pre-upgrade. Yes, the interface was clunky and antiquated, but at least it was fast, and I had most things down to "muscle" memory. Everything is now either not working or slower than it was.
three major problems that is making the site virtually unusable:
1. Spins and spins randomly when doing certain flight availability searches and fails to load results, refreshing doesn't help. Limiting searches to specific airlines, nonstop, 1 day instead of +/- does seem to reduce these errors, but not always. Today, I had the spinning issue again and had to begrudgingly revert to, no joke, google flights and ITA. Which are FREE !
2. Blocked seats showing as occupied. This is a huge deal on airlines that allow certain passengers to request blocked seats either via GDS SSR or by contact center. If you don't know a seat is blocked, you can't ask for it. CX for example, I reported weeks ago, but still not fixed.
3. Stupid things like flight duration of individual segments not showing when you click flight details, i.e. AAA/BBB/CCC where it is a 3,00 flight + 1,00 cnx + 2,00 flight displays as 6,00, when you click on the individual segment. So you have to calculate how long each segment is (like an old school paper timetable). This is not the only bug, but indicative of the poor state of the entire site.
NB. Another pet peeve of mine is showing AM/PM instead of 24 hour clock, without option to change. This is the airline industry you are playing around in...
Over the years, we have gradually lost award availability access across many carriers, and carriers have also increasing adopted policies limiting availability to own members or certain programs, which also reduces the utility of this function in itself. However, quick and simple access to raw availability bucket data is extremely useful to me and has helped me out of a pinch more times than I can count over the past 10+ years and is well worth the $100 a year alone. Access to seat maps would come second, this is absolutely the bread and butter of EF for true FFs so I am shocked and dissapointed that it no longer works reliably - this was EFs niche. Everything else is just a nice to have or a gimmick that other sites also offer.
In my opinion, EF should revert back to the old site, until the interface and data connectivity problems can be resolved. At least it worked for its main purpose for most poeple.
