3. We were in an OWV facing east (ocean view) and never had a heat issue. Even if you were in a west facing villa, it should be OK as the air conditioning units work really well.
4. OWV rain showers were great (IMHO) Not crammed in a corner. Plenty of room. and regarding privacy, what are you thinking of. It's in the bathroom so unless you want to shower and another another person wants to use the sink, it's perfectly fine.
