Reading several hundred posts, and I'm coming to the conclusion it's over for me, particularly with the 2MM devaluation / bait and switch.

I usually have 3 or 4 overseas J to DXB and Europe. There's really no incentive for me to stick wtih Aeroplan for these - if I put in the effort, there is little reward. I've always wanted to try Emirates and Etihad and others,. Me and MrsITAG are both SE, but I doubt we will continue to chase it going forward.

They've already gutted R availability for Europe flights; degraded the Concierge service; overfilled the lounges (those of you who think the new program will empty them are dreaming), are killing beginning of year benefitse (upgrades), killling rollover and more.

Why stay? I don't see any good reasons.
