Just got this email from Eva today. Perhaps the pessimist in me but I’m betting these changes are for the worse and not the better versus how things are today.

Has anyone read through all this and understand the implications?

Dear Diamond, Gold, and Silver Card Members,

Thank you for your continued support and trust in EVA Air. To ensure a seamless airport experience, please be advised that changes to your airport privileges will take effect for flight dates on or after 1 September 2025. The key updates are as follows:
1. Expanded Airport Privileges
For codeshare flights operated by EVA Air and booked under a flight number of a Star Alliance member airlines and Star Alliance Connecting Partner airline, or other partner carrier, you are entitled to corresponding airport privilege. These include access to designated check-in counters, extra baggage allowance, priority boarding, and more. For full details on your member privileges, please refer to the “Membership Benefits ” page on the EVA Air website. 2. Lounge Access Policy for Companions
Companions invited to enter EVA Air VIP lounges must be traveling on the same flight as the inviting member. 3. Exclusive Services for Companions of Diamond and Gold Card Members
Diamond and Gold Card members may bring a designated number of companions to enjoy access to Designated Check-in Counters and Priority Baggage Handling when:
．Flying on EVA Air/UNI Air operated international flights booked under EVA Air/UNI Air flight numbers, or
．Flying on EVA Air operated flights booked under codeshare flight numbers issued by Star Alliance member airlines and Star Alliance Connecting Partner airline. For details on eligibility and applicable conditions, please refer to the “Membership Benefits” page on the EVA Air website.
