So I tried asking Cathay this question in the whatsapp chat - and despite having my Diamond number, name, email address and booking confirmation number (NONE OF WHICH was necessary to answer the question) - failed to answer and indeed refused to speak to me because I inadvertently forgot to add my utterly unimportant middle name when they asked my name (despite previously having recognised who I was from my Diamond number and lying to me about prioritising my chat!). So after my experience last week, I decided to try ringing up.

OMG what a difference, Got through in about a minute to someone who confirmed that they HAVE CHANGED the confirmation email format. Just in case any of you care (hopefully tripit will figure it out eventually). I find the new format to be useless as you have to dig about in the marketing mud to actually find your flight information now! Anyway, I also complained about the whatsapp crap. That really is a disaster area.
