Digesting everything over the last 24 hours, I'm not surprised by most of the changes. Banked years, insanely generous rollovers, high number of eUpgrades awarded etc. were all too good to last. I am quite disappointed about the gutting of the MM program though. Yes airlines don't really care about loyalty that much but out of everything I've always felt that the MM program embodied true commitment between the parties: "you stick with us, and we will take care of you later". There have been many times I forewent codeshares to be on AC metal, or booked AC when an alliance partner was cheaper. Moving the goalpost so drastically on the MM program is a dishonourable move and I hope they will reconsider.
