Not rich but decent retirement income. I too went to TD privilege card, about a year into retirement ( late 2022 card late 2023) . Strangely no issues, no income proof required, but have most of my retirement funds @ TD. Guessing having retirement funds @ TD they ignored income requirement.

Before retiring was 50/75/100 depending on year and personal vs business travel, entered retirement post covid so status was 35K due to very reduced business and personal flying. In retirement travel cheapest J ( depending on leg and distance PE as well) for longer vacation flights. Under old system was 35K 1st year due to changing cards late 2023 but hit 50K and just under 75K last 2 years. The CC boosting me over 50K each year.

Looking at new program between CC earning 1000 SQC for every $5K ( I put everything on CC, no cash purchases unless forced) and planned/booked flights in 2026 and 2027 will hit 50K easily and probably 75K or higher now.

Less eupgrades, lounge passes all a plus for me. The times I flew domestic/North America been able to use upgrades only once (out of 5 attempts) . Been in lounge capacity control line way too often.

Put me in looking forward to change and culling coming in 2026. The new system makes a lot more sense from a business/reward basis, but clearly not a loyalty system.
