I don't get why many people are so fussed about the lack of multipliers under the new program. Previously, everybody flew the same amount of miles on a flight, so Aeroplan needed a SQM multiplier for higher fares like business class. But now the multiplier is built in the price and SQC calculation.

If you have status and travel YYZ-YUL (looking at Sept 14) on Flex ($300), Comfort ($400), Business ($900), you'd get 1200, 1600 or 3600 SQC respectively. The business class multiplier can be as high a s 3X what someone would pay on Flex. Latitude for the same flight is $1200 ... so 4800 SQC!

I am not saying that the new changes are good ... just saying that the lack of a multiplier is a bit of a moot point in my opinion. Unless I am missing something??
