Because as far as TY earning goes, the Prestige is still more of a keeper if you already have it? Am I missing something?

Yes, unless you highly value the ability to earn 1.5X abroad...
It's worth getting even if you have Prestige because there is a chance they will forcibly convert our cards to Strata Elite down the road - and then you won't be eligible for the bonus.
