I just completed a short stay here and agree with everyone else here that the Sukhumvit 24 location is much better in almost every regard.
Soi 1 better:
base rooms are much bigger
the pool area is much larger with more loungers
the gym is slightly bigger and more spacious
the buffet area is a bit less cramped
Soi 24 better:
the location is soooooo much better
walking distance to the BTS train and multiple malls
plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance
vibes feel more elevated and boutique
rooftop bar is very fairly priced and never too crowded
Overall the Soi 1 location feels pretty depressing. A lot of people from Pakistan, India, and Southeast Asia seeking medical treatment accompanied by their family. A couple wheel chairs and people on crutches makes it feel like a hospital. There’s a ton of people in the lobby during the day waiting to check in and out, kind of like a hospital waiting room. The bright white LED lighting is quite harsh both in the room and common areas. The buffet breakfast seems to cater towards halal and Indian which isn’t exactly my cup of tea. I think this location is also quite a bit cheaper and seems to attract a budget and somewhat rude crowd as well.
its also a 15 min walk to either Nana or Plenchit BTS stations and there’s no real food options nearby aside from some carts late at night. It’s on a one way street so Grab takes forever to reach here. This area is on the edge of the Nana red light district so there are some special massage parlors at the street corners.
unless I’m visiting the hospital next door, I wouldn’t come back to this location.
