I am not a POT Fanboy but at the sametime, there's nothing shameful.
As a founder / ceo (i think its not run primarily by ricky now) / board - the team's primary responsibility is to generate revenue, make profit and return profit to its stakeholders. If that's not the case - then they should be running a non profit. Also it's not like they did anything illegal or wrong - they found a new line of business to generate revenue - as simple as that.
Plus POT had been acting like TPG for a long while - so nothing shocking / out of ordinary unless people are living under the rock.
Last but not least, I guess people who complain about POT will be happy with their apple stock having a 3% AH spike thanks to Tim Cook's act today?
What's good for the goose is good for the gander!
TBH - I'm not surprised, just disappointed. It's a great short term way to earn revenue. The question is if it dilutes the brand long term. To me, it does as it kills objectivity, and frankly I don't care if it benefits him or help him. I have a disdain for Youtubers anyway and am out of the rat race.
