Let's take a step back shall we. Air Canada will do what is in Air Canada's best interest. I assume $ changed hands which is *fine*, but why do you think Air Canada commissioned PoT to explain these changes?

Mutual promotion - you scratch my back/I'll scratch yours. PoT seems to have a chummy relationship with some level of AC exec's and may be enjoying (and monetizing) the role of influencer on both sides of the Aeroplan coin (consumer/retailer).
