I assume when you say "lounge pass" you mean "lounge membership"? A lounge pass allows for one-time use, whereas a membership allows for unlimited use within a certain period.
I think the question that needs to be asked in order to clarify this situation is "what was the expiration date on your lounge membership prior to selecting the perk?"
