Newcastle effectively offered a no choice meal substitute with a pasta dish and a rice pudding desert. AND drinks were by a single staffed waitress/manager service - which with 40 club floor guests was just plain crazy. Cocktails started at 17.30 and we got served nigh on 17.45.

The evening lounge manager was beyond exceptional.
Evening service was 17.30 to 19.30. Quality OK – usual CP deep fried selection plus some Lasagne, which was OK. That said nothing other than spring rolls and sausage rolls seemed to get replenished post 18.30.
Seems very different? When were these stays?
I stayed many years ago and haven't the opportunity to return yet - I arrived in the lounge at 8pm, they were just tidying away so I asked if they had anything left, the host came back with a (full-size) ham sandwich on white bread
